In order to use ARCWAY Cockpit, you need to establish a connection to a Cockpit server where your projects are saved. This allows you and all the members of your team to access and edit these projects.

1. Click on the (empty) white area of the Project Navigator on the right-hand side.
2. Select New > Server from the context menu.
3. Name: Freely selectable name for the server.
   URL: The address of the server on the network ("http://..." or "https://...")
   Keep alive time(s): Time until changes on the server are uploaded to the client.
4. Confirm by pressing OK.
5. An entry for the server appears in the Project Navigator.

In order to edit a project that has been saved on the server, there must be a corresponding entry for the respective project in the Project Navigator of your ARCWAY Cockpit.

1. In the Project Navigator on the right-hand side, click on the server containing the project that you wish to load.
2. Select New > Project from server… from the context menu.
3. A list of the projects on the server is now displayed.
4. Select the project you wish to load and confirm by pressing OK.

You can save a project and all the information and data contained in the project as a template file in your file system.

1. In the Project Navigator on the right-hand side, click on the project you wish to save as a template.

2. Select Export... from the context menu.
3. The following list contains an overview of all available export formats in ARCWAY Cockpit.
4. Select the Project template entry and click on Continue.
   You can now enter a filename and choose where to save the file.
5. Complete the procedure by clicking on Done.

1. Select the project template file in a Windows directory and drag the file to a server entry in the Project Navigator of your ARCWAY Cockpit.
2. Enter a name for the new project and a description if required. Click on Continue.
3. You can now add your own logo or copyright symbol.
4. Complete the procedure by clicking on Done.

The ARCWAY Cockpit Project Navigator can be structured using Windows-style directories, allowing you to categorize your plans in accordance with your own criteria.

1. In the Project Navigator on the right-hand side, click the location where you wish to create a new directory.
2. Select New > Directories from the context menu.
3. Enter a directory name and a description of the directory if required.
4. Complete the procedure by clicking on Done.

In order to save the changes that you have made to a project locally in your ARCWAY Cockpit on the server and make these available to other team members, the changes must first be uploaded.

1. In the Project Navigator on the right-hand side, click on the project for which you wish to upload the changes you have made.
2. Select Upload changes from the context menu.
3. Confirm the dialog.
