Simplified Modelling of Business Processes

The handling of the editor for the Event-driven Process Chains (EPC) will be reworked completely and simplified. The creation of a new element and its connection to an existing element will occur in one step, in contrast to the current version, in which this is mastered via template in two separate steps.

The templates are thus mostly completely unneeded during modeling, 50 % of the needed clicks in the current version will be saved.

Following screenshot shows how a new process step is created after an event using drag and drop. One simply drags the function icon, located under the event, on the desired position of the new process step.

Complete Evalation of all graphic Model Relations

The current version of Cockpit merely allows the evaluation of the presence of model elements in detailed view and reports. ARCWAY Cockpit 3.2 makes the evaluation of all kinds of graphically modelled relations throughout the whole project possible.

Following questions can be answered:

• what kind of data is being read/modified/created by a function or process step?

• Which other functions does a specific function communicate with?

Following screenshot depicts the improved detailed view, in which all modell element relations for the chosen element "warehouse management" are displayed.

Modelling of Organisational Structures as Organigrams

ARCWAY Cockpit 3.2 contains an editor for the creation of organigrams. The positions which are modelled in the organigrams are contained in the Cockpit Repository and can be linked with business- and application landscapes.
